Changes to Finally Fishing Blog

I want to start this post with a massive thank you to you, dear reader. As of the writing of this blog post, we have a total of 1687 reads on my blogs. That is amazing and mind-boggling to me. I started writing this blog as a way to give insight into some of my more memorable moments. In many ways, it paints a picture of my thoughts and understanding of things. It is almost like an online diary. To have people read it, and return to read more springs forth a whole set of emotions.

But change is inevitable, and this is how and why I decided to change the blog. To understand why, I once again need to draw back the curtain to show the inner workings. Yes, we have gotten more views than I would have ever imagined. Some blogs, however, perform poorly compared to others. And to be honest, some deserve to do poorly. This is the main reason for my wanting to make a change.

I do believe that I have improved in my writing, but what is missing in some stories is a reason or that little spark. As stated previously, the blogs are about those memorable moments. And not every moment falls into that category. Forcing myself to write weekly stories cheapens the experience. I do not write blogs for views. In my mind quality should be the focus and not quantity.

I thus put it to you reader, that I will no longer focus on weekly blogs, but rather random posts that don’t feel forced. The main focus for my channel has and will always be the videos, but the blog has its place in my world. If you understand or agree with me, then no harm is done. If you disagree, now would be a good time to share your views. Is the reasoning behind a catch as important as the catch or emotions? Leave a comment or contact me if you wish to share your input.

  1. Honestly, the reason behind the catch and the application of the craft successfully, contribute a tremendous amount to the emotions and sens of accomplishment! So for me If its weekly or as the inspiration strikes! I will read it when ever is see it! Keep up the good work! And keep the lines tight

  2. I prefer intermittent posts. When posting is done routinely, it becomes just that...routine. I also appreciate not being overloaded with posts. I frequently unfollow vlogs that post multiple times a day or even a week. I don't need to be saturated with "canned" posts.
So, I totally support your choice as I feel it will keep your posts fresh and you less pressured & less stressed. Btw, you're Awesome!!
