Introduction to Finally Fishing

Welcome to Finally Fishing

My name is Vernon, born, and raised in South Africa. Like so many fishermen, 

I was introduced to the world of fishing as a young child. Having great memories of fishing

with family and experiencing the tall tales from experienced fishermen, is a surefire way of getting 

"hooked" on the great sport of fishing. Shared experiences with friends and family on occasional

fishing trips and the pure rush of landing a fish are the moments that make fishing so

addictive. However, fishing is not always black and white. What works today, might not work tomorrow. The "hunt" or the understanding of fish behavior, paired with the right bait presented in the right way, with the right techniques; these are the little challenges that improve the sport.

My loving wife has provided me with the opportunity of a lifetime, to spend and focus my time on

pursuing my childhood hobby of fishing. Seizing the opportunity, I have started a YouTube channel called Finally Fishing. The idea being that I document my fishing moments and experiences.

Learning about different styles, gear, and techniques that I would need to catch fish and grow my

life list. Along the way, I hope to teach people and show my successes for other anglers to try and replicate.

This blog is where I wish to tell my stories, share my ideas and success, and log some

catches and the ways they were achieved.
